Celebrity Chef Jeff Kraus had already built something special at The Crepe Bar — an award-winning breakfast and brunch spot known for elevated culinary technique in an approachable format. But when he partnered with Montessori teacher and plant expert Reese DeVirgilio to bring The Local Garden Shop into the restaurant, the story got even richer.

Cue saw an opportunity to turn a community pop-up into a broadcast media moment — pitching a live morning event complete with community giveaways and kids' plant activities to local TV. Good Morning Arizona on AZFamily 3TV picked it up for a live segment, and when the cameras left, the foot traffic didn't stop.

The Shift That Mattered Most

The fire was already there. Chef Kraus and his team had been putting serious work into their craft, and Reese had built something worth celebrating. What they needed was a moment that made the community feel it too. By designing an event worth covering and pitching a story that local media actually wanted to tell, Cue turned a pop-up collaboration into a full-community ignition. The energy that followed — in the staff, in Chef Jeff, in Reese, and in the dining room — was the kind of momentum that can't be manufactured. It just needed the right spark.
